Should you consider In-House Training?
Is your organisation specialised, with its own particular employment law issues?
Do you have lots of staff you’d like to send on a particular course?
Are you looking for a useful, interesting Away Day activity?
If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, In-house Training could be the solution. Sherrards can run a course tailored to the issues your organisation faces.
Courses we offer include:
Employment Law Foundation
An employment law course for line managers with minimal prior experience. By the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of a broad range of employment law topics and understand how their organisation’s procedures work in the context of the law.
Employment Law Latest
An update for those with a sound grasp of employment law. By the end of the course, delegates will be up-to-date with the latest developments in employment law, be able to ensure their organisation complies with legislation and be able to implement any necessary changes to current procedures.
Using scenarios drawn from our real-life experience in advising clients, this interactive course involves delegates in assessing and providing solutions to a series of common HR case studies and dilemmas. The course can be tailored to include specific problem areas within your organisation.
Equality and Diversity
An area of increasing importance for all organisations, our course takes delegates through the Equality Act in a lively and engaging presentation, with lots of case studies and examples.
Handling Investigations and Disciplinaries
This course for line managers follows the full life-cycle of a disciplinary matter including investigation, suspension, preparation of the case, conducting the disciplinary interview, reaching a decision, sanctions and appeals.
Managing Capability & Performance
Obtaining the best performance from staff is a priority for all organisations. This course is based on our many years’ experience in advising organisations in achieving maximum performance and handling capability issues. With HR input as well as legal, the course provides managers with practical guidance, and increases their confidence in handling capability challenges.
A course which covers all aspects of attendance management from measurement of attendance, to processes and procedures to be followed including disability and reasonable adjustments. The course also covers practical advice on interactions with staff.
This interactive and practical full day workshop covers all aspects of recruitment from the legal framework to candidate selection and the “do’s and don’ts” of advertising and interviewing. The workshop includes recruitment role-plays to consolidate the knowledge gained during the day.
